Algeria and NTC in direct talks

Algeria Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci said on Sunday that his country is in direct talks with the National Transitional Council in Libya which is not yet officially recognized by Algeria.

Medelci said during a press conference with his Malian counterparts that direct talks between Algerian and Libyan officials began 15 days ago.

Medelci added that Algeria and Mali and other African Union countries will recognize the Libyan NTC.
