Qatar to buy advanced German tanks

Qatar is planning on buying advanced German "Leopard 2" tanks. Reports claim that a deal is being brokered for the purchase of over 200 tanks worth up to two billion euros, according to a Der Spiegel article, to be released Monday.

According to the weekly magazine, a delegation from the German defense manufacturing group" Krauss-Maffei Wegmann" traveled to Qatar to discuss a settlement suitable to both parties.
