Israel approves 1100 settler homes
The Israeli Interior Ministry said it has approved the construction of 1100 new settler homes in East Jerusalem.     

In an interview that will be published tomorrow in the Jerusalem Post, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he does not intend to freeze settlements in the West Bank or East Jerusalem to bring the Palestinians to the negotiating table.      

“It is a pretext still used by the Palestinians”, Netanyahu said, adding that many consider it to be “a trick” to avoid direct negotiations.
