Iraq prevents tens of Turkish buses from heading toward Saudi Arabia

Iraqi authorities prevented dozens of Turkish buses carrying pilgrims from heading toward Saudi Arabia due to its passengers not holding visas and proper documentation a government official said.

The move comes at a time when relations between Baghdad and Ankara are mounting with tension on the backdrop of Turkey's refusal to hand over Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi who was sentenced to death in absentia, and the dispute related to the Syrian crisis.
