Haniyeh: recognition of Palestinian state 'crowns Gaza's victory'

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said on Friday that recognition of the Palestinian state in the United Nations "crowns Gaza's victory."

"This step is one feature of the political and diplomatic victory," Haniyeh said, adding that this resolution must be put into practice.

Haniyeh called for the continuance of resistance and jihad in the face of "tyranny" to pave the way toward a Palestinian state built on these constants.
