President Obama to visit Israel this spring

US President Barack Obama announced on Tuesday that he will withdraw about half the U.S. forces in Afghanistan by early 2014. Talking about North Korea's nuclear test, President Obama said that this test is a "highly provocative act".

"The danger posed by North Korea's threatening activities warrants further swift and credible action by the international community. The United States will also continue to take steps necessary to defend ourselves and our allies," Obama said.

On another note, Obama said that he will be visiting Israel, the West Bank and Jordan this spring.
