Japan and US install early-warning radar system

The Japanese news agency said on Sunday that Japan and the US planned to install a US early-warning radar system at a coastal base near Kyoto to bolster defenses against the North Korean missile threat.

In this context, Japanese media outlets reported that the Japanese PM Shinzo Abe and the US President Barack Obama decided on this plan on Friday during their meeting in Washington.
