Attackers in Moscow had 'contacts' in Ukraine: Russian security services

Russian security services confirmed Saturday that the suspects in the attack on a concert hall near Moscow on Friday had "contacts" in Ukraine, where they intended to flee.

The TASS news agency quoted Russian security services as saying, "After carrying out the terrorist attack, the criminals planned to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border and had appropriate contacts on the Ukrainian side."

The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, while Ukraine denied any involvement.
