French Interior Minister: The person who set fire to the synagogue in Rouen is of Algerian origin

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said on Friday that the man who set fire to the synagogue in Rouen before being shot dead by the police is of Algerian origin.

During a press conference in Rouen, Darmanin added that "the person who set fire to the synagogue in Rouen is not French but of Algerian origin."
