Russian authorities arrest Islamist organization members

Russian authorities have arrested on Monday ten Muslims from Russia and former Soviet republics on suspicions of their connections to extremist Islamist organization in St Petersburg, according to the administration of the Russian Federal Intelligence service.

The authorities asserted the seizing of extremist books in Russian and Turkish languages.

On the other hand, about 300 Muslims from Russia , former Soviet republics, Egypt and Afghanistan have been arrested in St. Petersburg within investigations of "calls for terrorist acts".
