Russian trial of US reporter Evan Gershkovich resumes: Court

The trial of US reporter Evan Gershkovich resumed behind closed doors in a Russian court on Thursday, as the 32-year-old faces espionage charges that his employer and the White House have labeled a sham.

The second hearing for the trial that began on June 26 started late in the morning in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, a court spokesman told AFP, without giving any other information.
