Ukraine says hit Russian airfield in overnight strike

Ukraine's army said Friday it hit a Russian airfield in the Lipetsk region, some 280 kilometers (175 miles) from the border, in an overnight strike that destroyed ammunition warehouses.

"Last night, the Ukrainian Defence Forces attacked the Lipetsk airfield," Ukraine's General Staff said in a post on Telegram, adding it had struck "warehouses with guided aerial bombs and several other facilities."
