US to impose sanctions on Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan

According to three sources familiar with the matter, the United States is set to impose sanctions on Sudan's army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. 

The sanctions are in response to the Sudanese military targeting civilians and critical infrastructure, obstructing aid access, and refusing to engage in peace talks last year.
