'Mismanagement' caused deaths at India festival stampede: Opposition leader says
India's opposition leader Rahul Gandhi said Wednesday that official "mismanagement" was to blame for the deaths of pilgrims during a stampede at a huge Hindu festival.
"Mismanagement and the administration's special focus on VIP movement instead of common devotees are responsible for this tragic incident" at the Kumbh Mela festival, Gandhi said in a post on X.
