Afghanistan-Pakistan border clashes killed 40 civilians before truce: Health official

Clashes along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan killed 40 civilians before a truce halted the violence, a health official in southern Afghanistan told AFP on Thursday.

"We have 170 wounded and 40 killed, all civilians," said Karimullah Zubair Agha, director of public health in Spin Boldak, the day after the deadly clashes.
