REPORT: Angelina Jolie plans to remove her ovaries

US actress Angelina Jolie is planning to remove her ovaries  after Mastectomy to reduce risks of developing breast cancer.

Because of a "defective gene", Jolie has a high risk of developing ovarian cancer, which her doctors estimate at 50 per cent.

Some doctors recommend their patients to undergo the surgery by age of 40 or when a woman is done having children.

However, such procedure may trigger early menopause.

It is worth mentioning that Angelina Jolie is 37, she lost her mother in 2007 to ovarian cancer.
