Education Minister Bou Saab confirms official exams will be held

"Lebanon's official exams will be held Thursday even though the parliament fails to pass the wage scale in Tuesday's session," Education Minister Elias Bou Saab said on Monday.

"I fully understand the Union Coordination Committee's call," Bou Saab said in a press conference at the parliament following talks with Speaker Nabih Berri.

"I ask students to head to the exam centers on Thursday," Bou Saab said.

There are several proposals for the series of ranks and salaries, the minister said, adding that the teachers should obtain their rights.
