During the session, a heated dispute flared up between Change and Reform Bloc leader MP Michel Aoun and former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Minister Boutros Harb on the backdrop of the presidential elections, prompting House Speaker Nabih Berri to interfere in a bid to end the debate.
Prior to the meeting, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, who is attending the dialogue, hoped that the talks will help in resolving the presidential crisis, revealing that he called for an extraordinary cabinet session to be held today (Wednesday) at 5 pm to discuss the waste crisis.
He called on all the ministers to attend the cabinet session.
Meanwhile, tight security measures have been implemented in the vicinity of the Parliament, starting from Sayifi to the entrances of Hamra Street, while access to the Parliament has been limited to the staff and accredited journalists holding cards prepared specifically to allow them to cover the dialogue session.
