REPORT: Shiite sect in Lebanon commemorates the day of Ashoura
The Shiite community in Lebanon commemorated on Saturday the Day of Ashoura.

Hezbollah and AMAL movement organized a march in the Southern Suburb of Beirut to mourn the beheading of the grandson of Islam's Prophet Muhammad 13 centuries ago.

For his part, Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil delivered a speech on behalf of Speaker Nabih Berri whereby he asserted that the dialogue between Hezbollah and the Future movement will carry on.

He also noted that the dialogue is urgent in order to find a solution for the ongoing crisis in the country.

On another note, he reiterated the importance of holding the presidential elections in order “to reactivate the work of the state’s institutions.”

As for the Syrian crisis, he stressed that only the Syrian people is entitled to decide about its fate.

Minister Ali Hassan Khalil concluded his speech by calling for defending Palestine.
