Rayes to LBCI: EDL is occupied; gvt’s performance not up to required level

The media envoy of the Progressive Socialist Party Rami Rayes told Nharkom Said on Tuesday that the performance of the current government was not up to the required level, especially in the economic and social fields; “this is due to the political rupture between its members”, he said.

Rayes said that the Electricité du Liban (EDL) is “occupied”, adding that political considerations turned the contract workers’ demands into political demands. Rayes stressed that closing an institution such as the EDL deals a blow to the state’s prestige.
