Cabinet approves 55 items of the electoral draft law
The cabinet held a session at the Baabda Palace on Tuesday morning to continue examining the electoral draft law put forth by Interior Minister Marwan Charbel. During yesterday’s session, the cabinet postponed the administrative districts divisions till today.            

During the session, the cabinet approved 55 items of the electoral draft law.

Prior to the session, Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said that there has been a significant progress in the EDL contract workers issue, “but no comprehensive solution has been reached”.        

According to information made available to LBCI, Hassan Khalil partook in a meeting held before the cabinet session between President Michel Sleiman and PM Najib Mikati.             

Meanwhile, negotiations were reportedly held outside the cabinet hall between Hassan Khalil and Minister Mohammad Fneish who joined talks.       

For his part, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said that the case of EDL contract workers has come to an end.
