The man behind the violent clashes in Arsal, and the death of LAF military personal

Khaled Ahmad Hmaid is a man with many names. Some knew him as Adam Chahine while to others the name “Electro” would suffice.

Although this man did have several identities, he remained under the pursuit of the security apparatuses leading to his imminent death in today’s raid which also left several dead from the Lebanese Armed Forces.

Judicial sources revealed that several arrest warrants had been issued in absentia in Hmaid’s name on charges of terrorism and assaulting military officers.
The residents of the town of Arsal state that the aforementioned subject is also affiliated with the Al-Nusra front, a hard line Islamist group with links to Al-Qaeda who are now fighting to topple the Syrian regime.
