Berri sees no impediments before appointments

Speaker Nabih Berri affirmed that there are no hindrances to the execution of the awaited administrative and judicial appointments' mechanism, during the weekly Wednesday meeting at the Parliament.

The much-sought national dialogue was not absent from Wednesday Deputies' table today, whereby the Speaker reiterated the necessity to resume it [dialogue].

He revealed that the President of the Republic had set a specific mechanism for this dialogue "which remains the sole required mean for the Lebanese to communicate."

He also met with former Minister Talal Merehbi who said, in the wake of the meeting, that he relayed to the Speaker hope to renew national dialogue over all the divisive issues in the country.

"I also highlighted the importance to maintain, bolster, and proof national unity, so as to face ongoing changes in the region," he told reporters.

"I also thanked the Speaker for his role in following up on the oil dossier which can put an end to many economic problems," he added.
