Concerned authorities respond to citizens’ complaints on generator subscription fees

The Energy Ministry released a statement last Wednesday in which it set the generator subscription fee at 400 LBP per hour. However, generator owners all across Lebanon did not commit to this decision.

One of the generator owners said that setting the generator subscription fee per hour is unfair, adding that it provides 6.5 Amp instead of 5.

In this regard, Energy Minister Gebran Bassil said that it is necessary that both the Ministry of Economy and that of Interior take measures to punish violators and control prices, calling on generator owners to commit to the Energy Ministry’s pricing.
