Shamgar Committee recommends end to large-scale prisoner swaps
Israeli newspaper Yadiout Ahranout reported that the Shamgar Committee will submit a report on Thursday to Defense Minister Ehud Barak.     

The report will recommend the adoption of a stricter policy with regards to prisoners exchange deals after 1,027 Palestinian prisoners were released by Israel in return for the release of Gilad Schalit.     

The committee said that the Israeli government should avoid conducting large-scale prisoner swaps for abducted soldiers like the one repeatedly done before.
