Turki al-Faisal warns Iran against “uncalculated adventure”

Former Saudi intelligence chief Prince Turki al-Faisal warned on Wednesday that any Iranian escalation in the Gulf might lead to an “uncalculated adventure.”

Faisal confirmed the Gulf States’ readiness to use all available options to defend their interests.

During a press conference in Manama, Faisal stressed that the Gulf States are not part of the West-Iranian conflict on Tehran’s nuclear program, adding that member states of the Cooperation Council are fully committed to international laws and legitimacy.

Faisal also called on Iran to keep the issue of Strait of Hormuz and the international energy security away from the conflict.
