US drone kills al Qaeda leader in Pakistan

U.S. missiles killed al Qaeda’s chief in Pakistan, Badr Mansoor, on Thursday, one of the U.S. main targets and wanted for attacks that killed scores of people, officials reported on Thursday.

Mansoor was killed in a pre-dawn drone strike near the Afghan border, Pakistani officials and a member of his group told AFP.
