Aoun: legal exit soon for transportation allowance issue
Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun said on Friday that the cabinet is requested today to increase its productivity.

Aoun confirmed to voice of Lebanon, that the current crisis is “fabricated,” adding that the FPM was the first to blow the whistle on the issue and to call on the prime minister to resume sessions.

“Now the ball is in Mikati’s court,” he stressed, adding that the prime minister is violating the constitution by suspending the cabinet sessions.

Aoun added that the transportation allowance issue is the main reason behind the suspension of cabinet sessions, confirming that a legal exit will soon be found for the issue on the grounds that “it is basically of legal nature.”

In his concluding remarks, Aoun confirmed that there is no personal dispute between General Michel Aoun and the prime minister, adding that the latter sees the bloc as a political rival rather than a partner in cabinet.
