Berri tackles latest developments with Fletcher

House Speaker Nabih Berri met with British ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher and they discussed the situation in the region and in Lebanon in light of recent events sweeping through the region and Syria.

Fletcher said he is confident that the Lebanese leaderships are capable of taking the appropriate decision to maintain stability. “It is high time to take decisions with a clear conscience and take accurate and thoughtful positions”, he said.

Berri headed the Liberation and Development bloc’s meeting held in presence of Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil and a number of MPs. The meeting tacked the general situation and the agenda of Wednesday’s cabinet session.
