CIA plan for Syria revealed: Hezbollah is our target

How will Israel manage to weaken Hezbollah forces and topple President Bashar Assad’s regime without firing a single bullet?  

Former CIA agent Bruce Riddle presented a similar scenario in Newsweek newspaper to achieve Israel’s goal which is believed to be more important and needed than an Israeli military strike on Iran.  

Riddle believes that the Golan Heights will be the turning point as it will cut the direct road coming from Damascus to Hezbollah and the roads between Tehran and Beirut thus tightening the grip on Hezbollah, but how can the CIA do that?  

The CIA-Mossad agent Bruce Riddle goes back to the Israeli proposal made to President Hafez Assad in 2000; Take the Golan Heights and sign on a never ending peace treaty.  

Riddle believes that the Syrians turned down two chances to implement peace and stability in the region; the first one in 2000 with Ehud Barak’s proposal made to President Hafez Assad which failed with the death of President Assad and the second chance was President Benyamin Netanyahu’s offer presented to President Bashar Assad but rejected by the latter.    

“We should use the current situation in Syria for our interests in order to prepare the peace scenario with a post-Assad government and prepare such an environment politically; this ruling power will have to cut all ties with Hezbollah in return for peace with Israel”, Riddle was quoted as saying.  

“If we cut Hezbollah’s ties with Damascus it will highly affect their relations with Iran and will threaten the future of the Shiite party; even their leaders said that if it is hard for them to find routes to Iran it will have a disastrous effect on their future”.
