Japan watchdog orders Adidas to stop price fixing

Japan's Fair Trade Commission issued a cease-and-desist order to the Japan unit of Adidas AG on Friday, saying it unlawfully pressured retailers to stop them from offering discounts on Reebok Easytone sneakers.

Adidas Japan and its wholesalers stopped shipments or threatened to stop shipments of its products to retailers who cut prices, the anti-trust watchdog said.
