A Reuters cameraman on Wednesday saw dozens of migrants walking through cornfields towards Serbia's border with Croatia, following reports that at least 10 migrant buses had been rerouted to avoid Hungary.
Serbian media said the buses, which picked up migrants crossing from Macedonia into southern Serbia and which would normally take them north to the Hungarian border, had been redirected.
Their destination was the town of Sid on Serbia's border with European Union member Croatia after Hungary effectively sealed its own border with Serbia to migrants, Serbian media added.
A Reuters cameraman saw one bus arrive and at least 50 migrants walk through fields in the direction of Croatia.
