US slaps sanctions on Iranian Revolutionary Guard general
U.S. Treasury on Wednesday imposed sanctions on an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps general it accused of allowing Afghan narcotics traffickers to smuggle heroin through Iran.    

The U.S. Treasury said it will freeze any assets General Gholamreza Baghbani may have in the United States and prohibit U.S. entities from doing business with the Iranian official.
