Army seizes machine gun in Ain al Helwe camp

The Lebanese army intelligence, acting on information, intercepted a Mercedes car that carried a "Doushka" machine gun in the trunk which was destined to Ain al Helwe refugee camp in the south.

The army detained the two passengers of the car and whisked them to a military barrack for interrogation to determine the party which supplied them with the machine gun.

Meanwhile, the health inspection authorities of Tyre's municipality raided and seized a number of shops that sold decayed and outdated canned meat.

Head of Tyre municipality Hassan Dabouk said that all the confiscated fouled items were destroyed and all those who sold these products were fined.
