Afghanistan calls for Saudi Arabia’s support to establish peace

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Faisal held discussions with his Afghani counterpart Zalmay Rasool in Riyadh on Tuesday. They tackled the bilateral relations and topics of common interest.

In Kabul, a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Zalmay called on Saudi Arabia to support his country in its efforts to establish peace.

“The Afghanis want peace and security before anything else; we will constantly ask for your advice and support to the efforts that we are exerting to establish peace”, Zalmay told Faisal during their meeting, according the statement.

For his part, Faisal assured his country’s support to the Afghani people and to the government’s efforts to establish peace.
