Music breathes life into post-war Hamra

Hamra Street stands out among other Beirut streets thanks to the peculiar charm in its corners, turning the clubbing experience in Hamra into an addiction-like habit.

In recent years, Hamra gained its momentum back after it had lost it with the end of the civil war. Hamra’s night life, energized with music, has largely contributed to the rebirth of the street.

This is where Ghazi Abdel Baki announced the creation of the Democratic Republic of Music (DRM) whose citizens are mainly music lovers.

Not very far from the DRM, a group of youth created two months ago “Metro al-Madina” (the city metro) which is distinguished from other night pubs by the special shows it plays.

Apparently, music brought Hamra back to life.
