Fish dumped in Marjeyoun, 2 warehouses raided in Tarik el Jdideh
A quantity of fish was found thrown on Marjeyoun highway on Friday, causing foul smells. If the fish are not removed, they might threaten the wheat fields surrounding the area. Shellfish were also found in a dump in the same area.

In coordination with the Consumer Protection Agency, a force from the Intelligence Directorate forced its way into two warehouses located in Tarik el Jdideh. They were storing around 5 tons of slimming food products, imported baby formula, products made in Lebanon (cooking oil, pickles, grains), Israeli products whose country of manufacture was concealed. The force confiscated all expired products as well as the machines used to forfeit the expiration dates and arrested three people under investigation.

Dekweneh municipality issued the statement saying that a patrol of the municipality’s police found a quantity of spoiled meat dumped in a garbage can near Dallas oil station. The statement added that the party responsible was identified to be one of Dekweneh’s residents, stressing that a fine was drafted against him and the ISF as well as the Health and Agriculture Ministries were informed.
