Sleiman hopes the cabinet can settle tabled issues

President Michel Sleiman voiced hope on Monday that the cabinet will manage to settle the tabled issues on technical grounds while simultaneously focusing on security, stability and civil peace.

The president discussed the security situation with Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and went through political developments with State Minister Marwan Kheireddine.

Sleiman was also briefed by Director General of State Security Brigadier General George Karaa on the directorate’s efforts to combat corruption in public institutions.
