REPORT: Brother of ex-MP Yaacoub released on bail

Hussein Yaccoub, the brother of former MP Hassan Yaacoub, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the abduction of former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi’s son, Hannibal Gadhafi, was released on Friday morning on bail amounting to five millions Lebanese Pounds.

The court prevented Yaacoub from traveling abroad or speaking to the media.

He is set to visit his mother at the Hotel Dieu Hospital.

The Yaacoub brothers are the sons of Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub, who went missing with Shiite Imam Moussa Sadr and journalist Abbas Badreddine in August 1978.

Sadr was on an official visit Libya upon the invitation of Moammar Gadhafi.
