According to the decrees (508, 509, 510, 511), the municipal and Mokhtar elections in Beirut, Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel will be held Sunday May 08, 2016, while the municipal and Mokhtar elections in Mount Lebanon will be held on Sunday May 15, 2016.
The call upon the electoral bodied to hold the elections of the governorates of South Lebanon, Nabatieh, North Lebanon and Akkar will be issued during the upcoming week.
In this regard, the interior minister commented by saying: “I promised and I met my promise, the municipal and Mokhtar elections will be held as scheduled.”
