REPORT: Former PM Hariri says will not abandon Frangieh

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri held Hezbollah responsible for the ongoing presidential vacuum, stressing that he is not insisting on being named a prime minister.

“I will not obstruct the state’s constitutional institutions for this matter,” he said during a meeting with the journalists.

“Everyone knows that should the quorum be met, MP Frangieh will have enough votes to be elected as president,” he added.

Commenting on the State Security’s file, Hariri said that if there were a president present, the State Security issued would not have erupted. “We must not destroy our country for one person,” he said.
