Geagea receives several calls decrying assassination attempt

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea received several phone calls denouncing the Wednesday’s attempt to assassinate him in Maarab. Patriarch Beshara Rai’s Deputy Bishop Boulos al-Sayyah called Geagea on behalf of Maronite Patriarch.

Geagea also met in Maarab with a delegation that included MPs Atef Majdalani, Riad Rahhal, Nadim Gemayel, Serge Torsarkissian, Toni Bou Khater and Joseph al-Maalouf.

They all decried the assassination attempt against Geagea. Majdalani said that this criminal action targets every person that endorses March 14 forces as well as Lebanon, freedom, dignity, democracy, plurality and openness.
