Zahra urges creation of electricity investigation committee
Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra called on Tuesday for the establishment of a parliamentary investigation committee in charge of the issue of electricity.

Zahra told MPs during the first general discussion session that the current cabinet is a tutelage cabinet, one that is hampering the implementation of the constitution, ignoring constitutional institutions and resisting everything that may reinforce the LAF and play in favor of the Lebanese.

Zahra stressed that the cabinet is not giving value to the role played by the parliament, adding that it is “expired”. He said that it is a de-facto government that is still standing thanks to the will of its masters.

After the reemergence of the wave of assassinations, Zahra asked to be provided with special security for his own protection so that he would be able to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections just like everyone else.
