MP Kanaan: We must resort to Constitution while drafting a new electoral law

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan urged on Tuesday the Lebanese leaders to resort to the Constitution and the apt representation while drafting a new electoral law.

Kanaan’s comments were made following the bloc’s weekly meeting in Rabieh whereby he noted that the ongoing disputes are the reason behind the budget deficit, and the absence of proper budgets and accounts.

On another note, Kanaan stressed that the bloc supports the appointment of a new Lebanese army commander and not extending the term of the current Lebanese army Commander Major General Jean Kahwagi.
