Sleiman hopes discussions on electoral law begin
President Michel Sleiman voiced hope that serious and practical discussions on the parliamentary electoral law will begin to carry out appropriate preparations regarding this draft and its clauses, especially those related to the expats’ voting.

Sleiman added that French of Lebanese origins exercised their right to vote on Sunday, stressing it is only rational that Lebanese expats in France also enjoy the same right in their country of destination.

Sleiman discussed with Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour the issue of diplomatic appointments.

The president also met with Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi to look into public finances and how far preparations for a public budget draft law have come along.

Sleiman met with the general Director of the Lebanese State Security General George Karaa to look into the situation of the directorate and the equipment needed to activate its work.
