The Finance Ministry declared Monday that the Beirut port customs seized 504 kilograms of Captagon, which consists of around 3 million tablets, hidden in a container of cleaning products and detergents set to be exported to Jordan.
Following investigations, the customs directorate managed to unveil the identity of a person (A. A.) involved in the smuggle attempt, who was later arrested in Wata al-Mseitbeh.
In light of the detainee’s confessions, the security forces raided a warehouse in the region of Khaldeh, where the products were packed.
