MP Habib to LBCI: I asked for the dissolution of Arab Democratic Party two years ago

Future bloc MP Khoder Habib said Wedneday that after the bombings that attacked Al-Salam and Al-Taqwa mosques in Tripoli, the dissolution of the Arab Democratic Party is the least that could be done, adding that he has asked for this measure to be taken two years ago, after the party’s involvement in the bombings was confirmed.

In an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Habib stated that the party does not possess any proper structure, emphasizing the role of the military in protecting all the Lebanese regions.

Discussing the governmental situation, MP Habib considered that the issue of the National Pact became “discretionary”, adding that the Free Patriotic Movement’s statements in this regard stem from its objection to the extension of the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander’s mandate, pointing out that their speeches are similar to those of the civil war.

Habib also accused Hezbollah of causing obstruction to the state’s institutions.
