As of Saturday October first, Lebanese elderly aged above 64 will benefit from a full hospitalization cover at the expense of the Health Ministry. The ministry raised the coverage for the Lebanese citizens from 85% to 100%.
The project announced by Health Minister Wael Abou Faour in July 2016 costs 17 billion dollars, which will be provided from an increase in the annual budget allocated to the ministry.
