Security cannot be established by common consent- interior minister
Interior Minister Marwan Charbel stressed on Monday that security cannot be established by common consent.

“Security [in the country] is under security apparatuses’ control; however, it is important that security also remains under the control of politicians in a way that their political convulsions do not have impacts on the ground,” he said during his visit to the UAE.

Charbel added that his ministry has finalized the electoral draft law on the basis of proportional representation, calling on everyone to show consideration for the state “which fosters public interests without discrimination.”
