UNIFIL orders Israeli forces to stop separation wall building

The UNIFIL told Israeli forces on Monday that they should stop the building of the separation wall, awaiting the installment of barriers similar to the ones installed on the southern side of Fatima Gate.

Israeli forces removed the barbed wire during excavations to build a separation wall near Fatima Gate, without replacing it with other barriers. This act exposed the Lebanese borders; raising the suspicion of the LAF officers who filed a complaint with UNIFIL and warned against any attempt to cross the borders into the Lebanese territory.

Specialized units from UNIFIL came to the site and placed fences along the Israeli worksite.
